YOUR PUBLISHING SUCCESS

6 Week Online book writing and publishing course

Have you ever dreamt of writing your own book and having it published?

Do have a great idea for a book but absolutely no idea where to begin?

Would you like to find out the entire process from start to finish and be guided through the process?

Best-selling Australian author Sharon Witt is bringing her 17 years of experience writing and publishing over 18 books of her own, as well as mentoring others over the years, into an online course which will run over 6 weeks.

WHAT WILL BE COVERED OVER THE COURSE

Week 1. Why You Want to Write a Book

I’ll address many questions that need to be considered BEFORE you begin. We will cover the various ways you can publish your book and options you may consider with minimum financial outlay. I’ll also share some of my best successes and failures, including how I was able to pre-sell over 200 copies of a book BEFORE I had even gone to print, which covered the production costs entirely.

Week 2: Decision Making

I will cover both options – to self-publish or approach a mainstream publisher – (Pros and cons of both options.) I’ll be covering all the options to guide you in making the decision that is right for you. You don’t need to decide before you begin. There are also SO many decisions to make along the way – from cover design, to whether you want illustrations, and how many pages! The list is endless; however I’ll guide you through each decision!

Week 3: The Writing Process

I’ll be covering everything you need to write your book including the different ways you can tackle your writing process. I’ll share my personal approach, and provide you with practical strategies to get started and begin your writing journey.

“It’s been said that everyone has a book inside of them.’

Week 4: Production Process

How do you go from a completed manuscript to a book in your hands if that is your desired intention. You’ll be guided you through a range of practical options and I’ll share with you some of the best contacts in publishing, to assist you in the process. I’ll also be covering details including, what is an ISBN? How do I get one? How do you find print quotes? What is the minimum print run?

Week 5. Distribution & Marketing

How do you get your book out there? How do you get your book into bookstores? After 17 years of marketing and getting my own books in the hands of my readers, I’ll share the many ways you can attract your potential readers, and how to get the attention of the media.

Week 6. Extension Products

I’ll be covering how to get the most out of your content. A little-known secret – once you have written YOUR book, you can utilise YOUR valuable content in varied ways. I’ll explain how I transformed the content from one of my book series into curriculum packages, now used in hundreds of Australian schools.

  • Sharon is an amazing Mentor and Teacher when it comes harnessing and publishing your creative ideas. I had written words and thoughts on a few pages and Sharon was the one to show me the value in my ideas. Sharon walked me through the process of turning my creation into a book of which I have now sold over 250 copies both online and paper back.

  • Sharon Witt’s writing and publishing course was instrumental toward guiding me to publish a 9-book picture story book series. • When I wrote my first manuscript for my first children’s book Finding Bunny, I had no idea how to go about getting it published. Sharon was so generous in sharing her experience, wisdom and personal contacts and gave me great insight into the process. She encouraged me as a writer, and even connected me with my illustrator. Sharon has a true gift of encouraging others and is such a wealth of guidance in the world of writing and self-publishing.
